I was born into a family that had lost most of it's honor several generations ago. Though we were still in the buke (warrior) caste we had surrendered our family name to be fully rid of the shame associated with.... an act we do not speak of. Each of us, individually and collectively, works towards earning enough honor to once again have a family name.
Having proven myself worthy to become a Mech Warrior I entered the academy and was recognized for my ability with faster mechs and ‘hit-and-run' tactics. This earned me a posting to a scout lance after graduation.
Though I have been in most of the light and medium mechs my real preferences are for the Daimyo and the Komodo. Though not quite as fast as I like, they have a bit of fire power for range, and a lot for when they get close. When used well in a lance they can definitely make any mech take notice. And with proper skill they are good enough to get the kill.
I will admit to having lost several mechs. It happens when you are in a light and leading the pack. My kills are not as important because instead of counting individual kills they all go toward the greater honor and glory of House Kurita.
After my training I was assigned as commander of The Shadow Warriors on Qandahar. At first I was leery of the name because of our history and the Shadow Wars. I soon learned that this unit was assembled specifically to fight against any such difficulty. That is why our motto is "Fighting to Ensure Peace." I now serve as their commander with pride knowing fill well that the peace we fight for is internal and external.
After being here on Qandahar for a few years I apparently made an impression. A few months ago I awoke to find a message from the Commandant himself. It was a "request" that I accept the position of Field Martial in the SLDF for House Kurita. If I was willing to then I was to report at my "earliest convince" for my briefing. Naturally, I reported right away.
Needless to say things have been very interesting until now. There were some issues within the Star League about what powers who had. This almost led to the dissolving of my post and the SLDF in general. However, it was all worked out and I was reinstated.
Now I find myself advising all of the Great Lords, and many of the Periphery leaders, on matters of defense of the Inner Sphere. Though somewhat daunting I am honored that they feel confidence in my abilities. I hope to be able to continue to fill this role competently.
